European styling, world class performance

The Monte Carlo 6 is the crowning achievement of the premium line created by Beneteau in 2013. It has won the hearts of demanding boaters worldwide and was voted boat of the year in the ‘Flybridge up to 60ft’ category at the ‘Motor Boat Awards’. What’s more, it is featured on the cover of this issue.

The MC 6 (as it is often referred to) has carved a niche for itself through style, erformance and a top quality build. The largest of the Monte Carlo models, the MC 6 is the newest launch as well. It combines all the favourite features of its sisters and delivers these in a larger package, coming in at just under 60 feet LOA.

Most noticeable is the extended flybridge and generous interior living spaces, which take this yacht up a category and the link between Monte Carlo and its larger Monte Carlo Yachts sisters is easily seen.

The flybridge has a hard top with sun roof, allowing for time in the shade or sun equally depending on your desires. This covers a large L-shaped dinette for al fresco dining, set forward of sunpads. The cockpit hosts another table with banquette and loose chairs for a second al fresco entertaining option.

The interior boasts two layout options — a European version on the main deck sees the galley up with a convertible dining and coffee table, whereas the Far East version has the galley down for more guest privacy and instead has a bar and larger dining table on the main deck.

Likewise, the lower deck is offered in two distinct versions — the European version has a full-beam stateroom amidships, VIP forward and twin stateroom to starboard, while the Far East version has one master on the lower deck, a big galley — ideal for making great meals for entertaining friends and family – and a lounge area forward.

Designed by prestigious Italian superyacht design studio, Nuvolari Lenard, this yacht will stand out in any marina with its distinctive lines and signature circular portholes.

For power, there are Cummins WSC 8.3 Zeus engines and, for Asia, a powerful generator that allows plenty of air conditioning to cope with tropical conditions.

There are fun features as well, such as the hydraulic bathing platform integrated with tender brackets and a retractable roof top. Gyro stabilisers can be fitted on request.

The boat measures 18 metres overall (or just on 60 feet), has a beam of five metres, a draft of one metre and displaces 19.5 tons. It has a fuel tank capacity of 1,100 litres. So no problem to go to Macau and back, or even up to Mirs Bay for the weekend.

The Monte Carlo 6 is now available in the territory. Hong Kong agent, Simpson Marine, tells us the price is an attractive Euros 1,235,000 and that includes six months berthing and insurance cover.
